Performing Umrah pilgrimage

Mawakeb For Hajj and Umrah Company is keen to explain the Umrah pilgrimage and how to perform them through its sales employees, and also to provide you with a booklet with a detailed explanation of Umrah and how to perform it, especially for those whom God Almighty has honored by performing it for the first time. As in the following order:

Tawaf of Umrah

العمرة جواً; مواكب للسياحة والسفر; الطواف; مناسك العمرة; مكة المكرمة; المدينة المنورة; برامج العمرة جواً; برامج عمرة;

When the pilgrim arrives in Mecca, it is recommended that he/she perform ablution and then go to the Sacred Mosque to begin the Umrah pilgrimage. If he goes without ablution, there is nothing wrong with that.

When entering the Grand Mosque, he/she enters with his/her right foot, saying:
“I seek refuge in Allah, the Magnificent, and in His noble face, and in his eternal domain, from the accursed Devil”.

Then the pilgrim heads to the Holy Kaaba to perform the tawaf, and it is Sunnah for a man to uncover his right shoulder immediately and place his robe under his right armpit and its two ends over his left shoulder. Then he circumambulates 7 rounds, starting from the Black Stone. It is enough for him to point to the Black Stone from afar, saying (God is Great) without stopping when passing the Black Stone.

Then he completes the circumambulation around the Kaaba 7 times, and upon reaching the Yemeni Corner, he takes it with his hand if possible, and it is not permissible to kiss it or touch it, contrary to the Sunnah of our Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. If he is unable to receive it with his hand, he completes the circumambulation without pointing to it or saying “Allahu Akbar,” and it is Sunnah to say between the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner (Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire).

The circumnavigation is completed in 7 rounds, with a fast, close-paced walk that begins and ends with the black checkpoint.

Important notes:
-Some believe that circumambulating inside the vicinity of the Black Stone… This is not true, Tawaf inside and outside is valid.
-It is an innovation to touch the curtain of the Kaaba, its door, or the Abrahamic Shrine.
-Crowding is wrong for men and women, especially at the Black Stone.

Completion of Tawaaf

Upon completion of Tawaaf, the pilgrim does the following:
– Covering the right shoulder with ihram clothing

– Praying two rak’ahs behind the Maqam al-Ibrahimi, if possible, or somewhere inside the Haram, which is a confirmed Sunnah.
– In the first rak’ah after Al-Fatiha, he recites Surah (Al-Kafirun)
– In the second rak’ah after Al-Fatiha, he recites Surah (Al-Ikhlas)

There is nothing wrong with reading other surahs

Sa’y between Safa and Marwa

العمرة جواً; مواكب للسياحة والسفر; الطواف; مناسك العمرة; مكة المكرمة; المدينة المنورة; برامج العمرة جواً; برامج عمرة;

After completing Tawaaf, the pilgrim goes to Al-Safa and Al-Marwah to perform the Sa’y 7 rounds. When approaching Al-Safa, he begins with the words of God Almighty (Indeed, Al-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the rituals of God).
After ascending to Al-Safa, facing the Holy Kaaba, he says “Allahu Akbar” three times, supplicates many times, and raises his hands, saying:
( There is no god but Allah alone with no partner , His is the dominion, to Him belong praises and thanks and he is able to do everything , There’s No God but Allah, His promise was true, Victorious His servant, He defeated the parties alone.)

He repeats this prayer three times and supplicates whatever he wants between them. He does not raise his hands when saying “Allahu Akbar.”

Then he descends from Al-Safa, heading towards Al-Marwah, walking, praying whatever supplications he can for himself, his family, and the Muslims. When he reaches the green flag in Al-Safa, he runs quickly, for men, not women, until he reaches the second flag, then he walks normally until he reaches Al-Marwah. Upon arriving at Al-Marwah, facing the Holy Kaaba, he repeats what he said when he sought Al-Safa without reciting the verse. Then he repeats his Sa’y for 7 rounds, just as the Sa’y from Al-Safa to Al-Marwah is considered one lap, and from Al-Marwah to Al-Safa another lap, and thus he completes his Sa’y. There is no harm in if the person performing Umrah is ill or exhausted, he/she can use carriage.

Important notes:
– It is permissible for a menstruating or postpartum woman to perform the sa’i without tawaf, because the sa’i is not part of the Sacred Mosque.
– It is not permissible for a woman to rush between the two green lights.

Ending ihram

Ending ihram is the last act of Umrah, It is as the following:
– The male Umrah pilgrim shaves his head or shortens his hair on all sides, and shaving is better.
– A woman performing Umrah only shortens her hair to the extent of a fingertip, equivalent to the tip of a finger.

Thus, the pilgrim completes the performance of the Umrah pilgrimage, and what was forbidden to him during ihram becomes permissible for him.

Performing Umrah pilgrimage by air is considered easier in terms of transportation, especially for the elderly and those who have physical illnesses, may God heal them.

We ask God to accept your Umrah and forgive your sins
